Process Engineer – Automation / Assembly

Functions / Tasks – Specific:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with secondary assembly
• In depth knowledge of following process:
  • Robotic / Automated assembly
  • Manual assembly
  • Experience with welding
    • Ultrasonic welding
    • Infrared welding
    • Vibration welding
    • Hot plate welding
  • Punching / Trimming
  • Laser scoring

• General knowledge of automotive industry requirements:
  • Project management skills
  • Program launch experience
  • Work in a team environment
  • Quoting of capital and tooling investments
  • Ability to write specifications for capital and tooling investments
  • Ability to interact with other departments involved in program
  • Knowledge of industrialization documents / software
    • Process flows
    • Value Steam Mapping
    • Product Life Management (PLM)
    • Internal purchasing system for investments
    • Internal process documentation for a successful launch
    • Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD Experience
  • Ability to establish program timing for capital and tooling investments
  • Ability to meet program deadlines
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally
    • May be up to 2-3 weeks
