Senior Engineer Methodology

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance CAE workflows and automation tools for Hypermesh and Hyper view
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy of their CAE processes
  • Implement CAE process automation scripts, macros and utilities
  • Test, validate and document automation tools and workflows
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to CAE automation tools
  • Stay current with new technologies and software updates related to CAE automation
  • Automation: Design, prototype, test and deploy automation of CAE processes and tools.
  • Data Management: Develop tools to efficiently share and manage global data and knowledge.
  • Dashboards: Design automated metrics dashboards to support early design input and monitoring progress.
  • Stretch Assignments: Work includes exposure to many vehicles and types of problems, including stretch opportunities outside of core responsibilities.
  • Perform activities pertaining to customisation, application programming, development, debugging, testing and maintenance.
  • Maintain record of all activities and result for future reference and documentation purpose
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with coding , quality and procedural standards
  • Provide time to time training to the juniors members of the team which must aim at delivering high quality projects in short turnaround time

 

Requirements:

  • 4-5 yrs. experience in Python, TCL/TK is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in Hypermesh and Hyper view and experience with CAE workflows and automation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of CAE simulation software such as PAMCRASH, LS-DYNA or ABAQUS
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with engineering process mapping, development, and automation is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work across business analyst and developer roles.
  • Strong expertise in data structures and algorithms and database development using SQL
  • Solid understanding of computer programming, software, and GUI development.
