Material Planner

  1. Job Title

     

    1. Material Planner

       

  2. Essential Functions

     

    1. Enter Data into MRP per part and supplier.
    2. Update and distribute Cycle Count per schedule weekly.
    3. Update Schedule Agreements as needed by buyers for new suppliers or Parts.
    4. BOM review for accuracy against print and usage.
    5. Update Material Manager of any potential part issues.
    6. Review COGI for any part issues.
    7. Monitor parts for EOP to reduce or zero obsolete inventory.
    8. Receiving – check all parts from Warehouse management system for accuracy.
    9. Update Part list for logistics with packaging.

       

  3. Additional Responsibilities

     

    1. Participate in monthly and quarterly physical inventory.
    2. Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner.
    3. Perform job in a safe manner.
    4. Perform other duties as assigned.

       

  4. Education / Experience / Skills

     

    1. High School Diploma is required.
    2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Material Planner or Inventory.
    3. Automotive plant experience preferred but not required.
    4. SAP experience desired.
    5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

       

  5. Health, Safety, & Physical Demands

     

    1. Safety glasses are required to be worn at all times when on the plant floor.
    2. Physical demands require standing, working in a manufacturing plan environment, walking manufacturing plant floor multiple times daily, bending, reaching, stooping, wearing required PPE, talking, working long hours and overtime including weekends and holidays as required.
