Mission: (Brief statement of job’s primary purpose. Maximum of 2-4 sentences):

The aim of this position is to fulfil the objectives of production in terms of productivity, quality, time, and costs. The Team Leader will manage, coordinate, direct, and control activities of the staff of the Line Leads within their area, set the daily workloads, and lead various efforts to achieve them, balance lines, monitor the efficiency of the work carried out and control the volume and the quality of the production.

 

 

Essential Functions of Role:

  • Supervisory Capacity:      No Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Production Operators meet the minimum requirements for their position.
  • Communicate production and quality requirements to the production team members.
  • Offer suggestions and improvements to the process and quality.
  • Fill required production reports correctly and completely.
  • Place team members in position that they are most productive and efficient for the area.
  • Ensure that Production Operators and Team Leaders are adhering to the Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Report any unsafe work conditions and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Enforce the housekeeping rules.
  • Complete Incident Investigation Reports.
  • Enforce the Quality Policy.
  • Help train Production Operators and Line Leaders and help motivate, coach, evaluate, and counsel them.
  • Enforce all of the company’s policies and procedures. Raise discipline issues with the Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintain and update the multi-skill matrix of their appropriate areas.
  • Ensure production schedules are being run and holding the Lead leads accountable for their deliverables.
  • Receive all Production SAP/R3 paperwork and verify completion.
  • Hold team members accountable to ensure production metrics, quality, on-time delivery, and teamwork are met.
  • Provide support to appropriate lines.
  • Lead by example providing coaching and mentoring to line leads.
  • Abide by all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations promoting safety in the workplace.
  • Ensure all employees exit the building and are accounting for in case of fire or hazardous chemical spill and report to supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

 

Educational Requirement:    High School Graduate or Equivalent

Area of Study:     General Studies

(Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.)

 

Years of Experience Required:

  • 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience of related experience in a supervisory role.
  • Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry, preferred.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Language Required:  English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge in HR related duties such as headcount, vacation, coverage, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge in IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 14001:2015.
  • Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and follow through.
  • Good skills and ability to train and teach others.
  • Proficient computer skills including excellent knowledge of SAP for daily production input.
  • Good knowledge in safety and emergency evacuations.
