Mission: (Brief statement of job’s primary purpose. Maximum of 2-4 sentences):

The aim of this position is to facilitate innovative research at Antolin through a comprehensive safety program which promotes the health and safety of staff, hourly, and visitors. The role must maintain and adhere to the TS-16949 and ISO 14001/ISO 18001 requirements.

 

 

Essential Functions of Role:

  • Supervisory Capacity:      No Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain written environmental and safety standards in accordance with ISO and OSHA.
  • Check for EMS updates on the Global Management System monthly.
  • Lead and manage the employee training program for the plant. Ensure the program is in compliance with the OSHA Act as well as the company policies and procedures.
  • Train employees on necessary environmental, health, and safety program. Assist and participate in the development of orientation of hew hires in the area of environmental, health, and safety. Coordinate and facilitate meetings and activities of the joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • Administer and coordinate all environmental/EMS related items to include permits as required to comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Generate compliance reports as required to comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Generate compliance reports as required; weekly, monthly, and annually. (Examples: storm water permit, BMP, Non-contact water permit, and renewable operating permit, air emissions). Update documents to remain current with latest requirements/legislation.
  • Provide guidance in the new installation, rebalancing, or development stages of all current program as well as pending to include the manufacturing process equipment. Conduct JSAs to guide in the creation, updates to work instructions, processes which may include ergonomic assessments, PPE assessments, etc.
  • Administer Worker’s Compensation programs. Authorize injury treatment, as needed. Compile open WC issues with appropriate action plan. Follows all WC cases with appropriate tracking and record keeping. Monitor all accident investigations. Report findings in the monthly and annual reporting systems.
  • Coordinate all hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, shipment, and disposal.
  • Manage and report the required KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and provide meaningful statistics to managements in a timely manner, to assist in continued improvement or workplace, health, safety, environmental, and loss control (energy consumption, water consumption, recycling, waste reduction, etc.) and to meet the company targets set.
  • Manage any open written consent agreements with state or federal governments and associated record retention.
  • Ensure external and internal complaints related to environmental, health, or safety are recorded and reported to management.
  • Participate in and conduct compliance and conformance audits per ISO and OSHA standards and/management systems.
  • Maintain records in accordance with all regulatory organizations.
  • Document all activities as required.
  • Manage and adhere to all company guidelines for emergency planning; to include the company emergency evacuation, emergency training, and emergency program to ensure employee safety, knowledge, and compliance.
  • Additional tasks or responsibilities deemed necessary by management.

What we are looking for:

 

Educational Requirement:    Bachelor's Level Degree

Area of Study:     Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health and Safety, Safety Engineering or related.

(Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.)

  • OSHA 10- or 30-hour Certification.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
  • OSHA Certified Trainer in General Industry, preferred.
  • BLS Certification, preferred.

 

Years of Experience Required:

  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry, preferred.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Language Required:  English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
  • Excellent knowledge in ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949, and ISO 18001.
  • Excellent knowledge of OSHA and ISO 14001 compliance
  • Excellent knowledge of Hazcom, best practice, and cGMP methodology.
  • Excellent knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Forklifts.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office.
  • Good knowledge in sustainability methodology.
  • Basic knowledge in Lean Six Sigma.
