Mission: 

The aim of the Maintenance tech position is to improve tools and processes.  Maintenance techs are responsible for maintaining the performance and improvement of all equipment.

 

Essential Functions of Role:

  • Supervisory Capacity:    No Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots machinery
  • Makes repairs to down machinery
  • Utilizes manual and power tools

 

 

Essential Common Requirements for All Employees:

  • Perform planned and unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Prioritize retrieval of PMs and WOs for production lines based on safety, production needs, and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Adhere to proper procedures for factory store usage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas daily.
  • Conduct repairs on production lines efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Initiate scheduled work orders for all production lines.
  • Follow safety protocols, including lockout tag out procedures.
  • Utilize technical resources to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Provide own tools and ensure return of company-owned tools.
  • Document all work performed during shift and report to supervisor.
  • Organize spare parts cabinet for easy access.
  • Complete other assigned job-related tasks.
  • Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production.
  • Prepare machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Utilize mechanical skills for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Operate maintenance equipment such as drill press, mill, welder, lathe, and plasma cutter.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring for issues.
  • Install appliances and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during renovations.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc robots and teaching pendant operation preferred

 

 

What we are looking for:

Educational/Training requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalence or technical school graduate or equivalent of training or experience.

Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in automotive interior trim and systems.
  • Good attendance and dependability.
  • PLC, Lateral Logic, Robotics, Hydraulics, Pneumatic, and Electrical experience required
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Physical demands require computer work, standing, sitting in office and manufacturing plant environment, walking manufacturing plant floor multiple times daily, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, kneeling while performing maintenance tasks.   Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical abilities.
  • PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley / Siemens).
  • Experience with robotics (preferably Fanuc).
  • Experience with vision systems.
  • Physical and mental stamina.
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Language Required:  English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking).
  • Experience with TPM.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong leadership.
  • Knowledge of Method Time Management (MTM) and ISO/TS.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
