Mission:
For our location in Kansas City, Missouri, we are seeking a Maintenance Apprentice. The focus of the position is to work alongside fully qualified maintenance technicians to learn the skills of the trade. A maintenance apprentice will assist with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines. This role may support the Antolin Headliners Division or Plastics Division.

Responsibilities:

Learning new skills in all aspects of maintenance, including but not limited to:

Help to install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting.
Assist with ensuring that machines function properly through troubleshooting and preventative maintenance services.
Understand how to read manuals for equipment and controls.
Disassemble machinery and equipment when it needs maintenance or repair.
Learn how to perform tests and operate machinery to ensure it functions properly.
Understand how to adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
Understand safety & environmental concerns on the shop floor.
Learn how to improve efficiency.
Manufacturing program reception. Put in place the lines installment.
Observance of productive processes.
Collaboration with Engineering regarding planning, assembly and start up of new projects.
This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 80-90% of their day. Candidates should be willing to complete administrative tasks, be energetic, have the ability to communicate at all levels and be comfortable on the manufacturing floor. Sit, stand and mobility to move around the manufacturing environment, when needed.
Conduct computer work or engage in discussion with employees.
