Mission:
For our location in Kansas City, Missouri, we are seeking an Operational Excellence Transformation Coordinator in the field of interior automotive design. The focus of the position is to provide support for and guide development of continuous improvement projects in our manufacturing locations, and promote understanding and practical applications of lean principles. Works with management as well as line plant staff in manufacturing, maintenance and QA.  This role may support the Antolin Headliners Division or Plastics Division.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Control of technical documentation: Update manufacturing Processes, Validations and Plans documentation.
  • Methods and Times: give instructions to production area on method and timing control.
  • Product Industrialization: Develop improvements and modifications related to product and/or the project,
  • structures, production methods and processes improvement.
  • Plant Engineering; Research and application of new manufacturing technologies, robots programming, tooling and robotic maintenance and modifications.
  • Product / Process Costs Control: Reduce scrap and downtime.
  • Distributing engineering process documentation.
  • Flow Organization of the Lay out: Improve quality and line efficiency.
  • Automation Process (Drive Systems, robots, automatic painting process, automatic assembly workstations.
  • TPM Program.
  • Active participation in multi-function teams for continuous improvement.
  • New machinery implementation and acceptance.
  • Routings and Bill Of Materials loadings and updates if no Key User in the department.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field
  • Automotive industry experience is required, GM experience a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with computer software, process control engineering, industrial electrical, and controls troubleshooting is required.
  • Ability to maintain excellent leadership, collaboration, and confidential communication with both internal and external contacts.
  • CI experience including working knowledge of 5S, RCA, Kaizen, GEMBA Walks, Layered Audits, Boardwalks, etc.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and QOS compliance standards
  • ISO 9001
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • SAP experience a plus
