Mission:

As a Product Engineer at Antolin, you will play a key role in the development and improvement of automotive interior products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure the successful execution of projects and the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This position requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and feasible solutions for automotive interior products, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, ergonomics, and cost.
  • Conduct product feasibility studies, including engineering analysis, prototyping, and testing, to validate design concepts and ensure they meet the required specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize the production process, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Generate and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including product specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Participate in design and engineering reviews, providing technical expertise and recommendations to ensure product performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and resolve design, manufacturing, and quality issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support product launch activities, including process validation, sample production, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to automotive interior products, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to develop and qualify new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Engineer or a related role in the automotive industry.
  • German, English and Spanish (High level).
  • Strong knowledge of automotive interior products and their manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD and expertise in PLM Teamcenter software will also be highly valued.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and methodologies, such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Continuous learning mindset and a strong desire to stay updated with the latest industry advancements.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
