Corporate Innovation leads at global level the process creation and activities related to new solutions from technology assessment, market analysis and valuation of new solutions to research, pre-development, validation, and achievement of the first RFIs and RFQs.

Misson:

The aim of this position is to assure total support and management of the program within the functional area of Product Engineering as well as being responsible for the functional (Product Engineering) department to observe all policies and procedures for that functional area to participate in the continuous improvement of systems and processes. Furthermore, the goal is to carry out all phases of the products (insturment panels) starting from the product definition to the product validation and finally the product execution.

Responsibilities:

Work with, and direct the CAD team to ensure all engineering parameters and customer requirements are being fulfilled on a timely basis.
Update the Product Definition whenever the project definition changes and vice versa.
Develop the DFMEA, DFM and other engineering disciplines according to the project requirements.
Direct, coordinate, assign tasks, and work with customer engineers to bring all Engineering disciplines together on the project.
Participate in all customer meetings which impact the design and engineering of the commodity.
Represent all Product Engineering concerns at project team meetings.
Creates and maintain an Engineering Open Issues List.
Define and identify SC's / CC's for the commodity according to customer specification or the company’s internal specifications.
Prepare preliminary detail drawings, with assistance of CAD design group
Prepare layouts/detail drawings for review and release, with assistance of CAD design group
Utilize and apply GD&T.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's/master's degree in Engineering or Product / Industrial Design
At least 5 years of expereince in Automotive Interior Systems Engineering (at least 1 full project in Cockpits or Consoles) and in automotive Product Design and Development (for the above mentioned porducts)
Experience working with European OEM’s as a Tier 1 supplier in an engineering function.
Detailed knowledge of the Cockpit Architecture, vehicle integration and Passive safety and Plastic injection moulding, Plastic Welding, Lamination and assembly of complex components.
Very good written and spoken German and English skills are indispensable
Familiar with MS Office, Catia V5 / V6 or other industry standard software with the ability to create, interrogate and communicate geometry requirements as well as pictographic tools (Sketching, Diagrams, presentations) to clearly communicate issues and requirements.
An inquisitive and creative mindset, capable of problem solving and idea generation from scratch
