Central Material Planner

Job Role: Material Planner

 

The designated person will be in dependence for the Central Material Manager as a part of a Central Team located in Burgos for Iberia Plants.

The selected candidate will be assigned a number of suppliers and will be responsible for ensuring the availability of material in the Plants, organizing transports for collections through our 4PL system, tracking the supplier performance and report non-conformities, among other.

 

The desired candidate should have capacity to work under pressure, analytical skills, and being problem-solving oriented. Negotiation skills will be highly valued.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Experience in Industrial sector
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3
  • Knowledge of MRP will be considered an advantage
  • Logistics experience will be a plus
  • Computer skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – user level
  • High English level is mandatory, other languages as German or Portuguese will be a plus.

  • Daily review of parts at risk – secure the supply chain schedule
  • Analyze materials coverage (MRP results) and take actions when needed
  • Generate schedules and communicate call offs to suppliers
  • Identify and address potential material shortages
  • Manage and report supplier arrears/backlogs
  • Raise and communicate non-conformity reports to suppliers
  • Request transport arrangement for collections at suppliers through 4PL
  • Track Supplier Delivery Performance
  • Setup MRP data and review periodically to adapt to market fluctuation
  • Control stock levels to meet Stock Value targets
  • Analyze opportunities for improvement to reduce transport costs and stock levels
  • Proactivity to report and analyze system issues in order to solve them
  • Track cycle counting activities in Plants
  • Continuous communication with Plants, suppliers and purchasing teams to ensure the supply chain and availability of components.
  • Monthly reporting of stock value and premium freight
  • Continuous improvement activities defined by the management in the field of the material planning and stock reduction
  • Follow up Engineering Changes implementation, SOP and EOP, and impact in RM/Components to avoid obsolescence – raise claims if needed
