Human Resources Director

Mission: The Human Resources Director will be responsible for HR functional leadership and excellence for Grupo Antolin North America, USA.   The position reports to the Global HR Director Director for GA Burgos, Spain.  The Human Resources Director coordinates the implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff for a techncial center and 11 industrial plants located across several US states (5,000 +).  He/She will serve on the leadership team; and assist and advise company managers about Human Resources issues.   The HR Director will lead the digital transformation for the Company towards automation, agility and a data driven organization.   Ability to suggest, plan, develop and implement a variety of HR matters such as talent management, performance management,  recruitment,  compensation and benefits, employee engagement, health and safety.   

 

Job Responsibilites:

  • Deploy HR policies, processes, rules/regulations in partnership with the local USA HR team
  • Manage budget processes, manpower, and restructruing efforts as needed
  • Review monthly KPI performance indicators with HR team and Corporate HQ
  • Ensure action plans are maintainedand followed based on monthly KPI indicators
  • Oversee, manage, and consult on complex employee discipline and legal claims
  • Find and implement effective measures to attract and retain talent
  • Support an employer of choice strategy/culture 
  • Oversee deployment of compensation and bonus program across the USA region
  • Provide timely feedback and consultation regarding USA health and benefit program meeting, open enrollment obligiations
  • Lead and support HR digitalization initiatives
  • Ensure the GA talent and performance management systems are being adhered too
  • Identify and implement anaystics-based HR improvement initiatives to executive Company strategy and improve overall HR performance
  • Work closely with Operational team to effectively execute Regional development performance indicators
  • Acts as a change leader, supporting people and Company through change, agility and capabilities
  • Act as an advisor to leadership on issues relating to emloyment, legal cliams, comensation, benefits, health and safety
  • Communicate HR-related issues to Corproate HQ
  • Coach and devleop HR leads in the USA
  • Responsible for the management, reporting, and documentation of all employee records, including employee registration, I-9, onboarding, off-boarding, disciplinary actions, and personnel files
  • Engage with all HR Business Partmers, cross multiple locations in the USA regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Visit Industrial Plants regularly to ensure HR compliance, employee egnagement and action plans are ongoing
  • Work with attorneys and insurance companies regarding workers compensation and compliance
  • Merger and acquisition overview as required
  • Promote efforts to measure employee satisfaction within supported client groups, and faciliate action planning to improve employee engagement
  • Identify local workforce issues (wages, culture, etc) and recommend stratgies and intervention as needed
  • Lead and oversee Environmental Health and Safety issues for USA
  • Lead, mentor, develop and support a team of Industrial Plant HR professionals emphasizing administrative excellence and strategic HR implementations
  • Conduct climate survey (every 3 years)
  • Manage regional succession planning initiative across USA

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in HR Management or related field
  • 10-15 years' of HR work-related experience 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Consistent, positive, and motivated to participate and excel in a fast paced department
  • Analytical, problem solving skills
  • Detail-orientated
  • Experience working in automotive/manufacturing is preferred

 

Personal Abilities:

  • The ability to perform work while sitting, standing, average mobility to move around an office environment.
  • Able to conduct work at a computer.
  • Practice confidentiality.
  • Local and International Travel: Up to 30%.
