Mission:

The focus of the position is to provide support for and guide development of continuous improvement projects in our manfacturing locations and promote understanding and practical applications of lean principles. Works with management as well as line plant staff in manufacturing, maintenance and quality assurance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Capable to define and provide best practices and information to be shared in a repository.
  • Implement ideas that applies to same product/process.
  • Capture improvement in actual standards from local experts, with visit to plants, to learn and define new best practices.
  • Provide extensive on-site support & training during a 2-week sprint, when needed.
  • Participate in regular exchange (bring together relevant people regularly to exchange on challenges and winning solutions).
  • Apply the right lean manufacturing methodology to achieve objectives and challenge actual status quo.
  • Assist in the development of SOPs specifically focused on plant manufacturing processes.
  • Develop visual controls and signage in the plant to reinforce processes and provide metrics.
  • Establish and conduct progress reviews on a regular cadence.

 

Personal Abilities:

  • This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 40% of their day. Candidates must be willing to complete administrative tasks, lead and initiate training efforts, be energetic, have the ability to communicate at all levels, be able to take ownership of projects and be comfortable on the manufacturing floor.
  • Strong analytic skills are required! Although rare, candidates should be willing to take off-shift calls as needed to answer any questions.
  • Must have the ability to sit, stand and mobility to move around the office or manufacturing environment, when needed.
  • Must have the ability to conduct computer work or engage in discussion with employees.
  • Travel Requirememnts: International Travel: 5% Domestic Travel: 40-50%

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing operations or engineering required 
  • 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations or engineering
  • Engineering Process Expert.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement Methods.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Digital Enablerrs Knowledge (MPS).
  • Experience working in high volume or mass production manufacturing environments.
  • CI Experience including working knowledge of 5S, RCA, Kaizen, GEMBA Walks, Layered Audits, Boardwalks, etc.
  • Experience facilitating training.
  • IATF 16949.
  • ISO 9001.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, VISIO, Office 365, Power BI, SharePoint)
